On Wednesday morning all the 4th year students arrived into school early. Everyone anxiously waiting for their Junior Cert results. At around half nine we all received the results. I ripped the envelope open to see what I got. I was very happy with my results and most people I talked to were happy with theirs .
Later that day we all lugged our heavy bags out of the school and threw them onto the bus. Everyone was excited to get to our camp site in Laugh Dan. When we got there we pitched the huge six man tent which took about an hour.
Straight after pitching the tent I could see that everyone was starting to bond with people they wouldn't normally talk to.
On the morning of the 17km walk for Gaisca I tried to dry my shoes before the walk but I burned a hole through my shoes. This was extremely embarrassing because everyone saw the shoes when I took my shoes off the fire so I had to wear different shoes.
The walk allowed everyone to bond with each other and talk to people you normally wouldn't talk to because it was so long and I got to speak with many different people.
After the walk we all wanted to cool off so we went swimming in the lake. The lake was freezing ang almost impossible to get into because of how cold it was. After spending a minute in the water I got out and sprinted to the roasting hot showers.
That at night we all gathered in the barn because it started to rain. We had to wait for an hour for the rain to pass so we could go out to sit around the fire.
The next morning we all were extremely tired and wanted to go home to sleep and eat something that wasn't koka noodles or beans.
