The Monday and Tuesday before we got our midterm break we did a self defence corse. On Monday we were given the theory session. We learnt about how most muggings and fights start and how to avoid them or to defuse the situation before something bad happens. After watching some videos and learning what the right thing to do in a certain situation was ,we went down to the sports hall. When we got down there we learnt how to defend ourselves from an attack. We learnt how to stop a punch and how to take them down after blocking the punch. We also learnt things like kneeing, kicking and the hammer fist. We practiced all of these on the second day too and we did some grappling on the mats. At the end of the day we had to do a test to see how we did. It was a very hard and tiring test . I liked this corse because it was fun and we got to learn to fight and stop an attack. I also learnt to always say alert because attacks could happen when your not expecting it.
